Weather wasn't supposed to be the best today. Steve and I wanted to get out for an overnight trip but that just wasn't going to happen. We new we'd have rain no matter where we went so we decide to just do a hike...and do one that would be nice when it rained.

On a nice day the trailhead can be overflowing with cars. No today. The weather forecast may have scared many away. We parked a hitched up the packs and headed up the trail. Lots of gorgeous flowers were out. More than we expected.

We hiked almost 4 miles up the trail. Shortly after we turned around, right on schedule (by the weather forecast) the rain started. At least the rain was warm! We both pulled out the rain jackets...should have pulled out the rain pants too. I was soaked by the time we got back to the car.
