Not too much to say about this trip. I've been to the lookout site twice before but these were both big trips, in Springtime, on snow, with snowshoes. So obviously I've never been to the lookout when the hillsides were full of green and flowers and the temps were warm. Well today was one of those kinds of day.

The hike is so much easier in the summer. Once can drive all the way to the summer trailhead (4263') instead of having to park all the way down along Beckler River Road. The drive up to Jack's Pass and then the 8 mile drive along a FS road to the summer trailhead in worth it. It goes on and on and on and I kept wondering why they keep this road open since it's doesn't seem to go anywhere expect the summer TH.

Great views today. There were still lots of wildflowers out. Temps were pretty warm. Darned mozies were out but not yet ravenously hungry.
