I was anxious to get out for a trip...itchy actually. The left foot finally feeling like it was recovering from another sprain. So...I wanted an easy trip...something to test the foot out. I suggested Teanaway Ridge because you start up high...there are wide views in lots of directions, it is gorgeous country, and I thought we'd get pretty lucky and see lots of flowers. The trail did not disappoint. Steve was eager to join because it was another area he wasn't too familiar with in WA. I was happy to show him some of my favorite places.

We didn't drive all the way to the trailhead, instead we stopped about 1/2 mile short of my usual parking spot due to a patch of snow covering the road. Steve thought the Jetta could get over it...me...why risk it. I didn't mind a bit of road walking.

Lots and lots of flowers out with balsamroot being the big one. A few lady slippers, and lots of the typical central WA flowers. I was enjoying the flowers...Steve spent a lot of time taking in the views. It's a whole lot different than Florida that's for sure!

We didn't go far...only about 3 miles...before turning around. The trail is in it's usual shape. The couple of steep sections are still steep. But...overall...the trail is in pretty good shape.
