Just a quick, pre-Christmas, leg stretcher. There is a nice little park no far from my sister's place that we often go to walk. I'd only gone in part way before, I was surprised to find that it is actually quite large. The place could use a good Scout service project though. Lots of litter (wrappers, pop cans, etc) littering the areas along the creek. We walked nearly the length of the park, then backtracked to the parking area of a nearby church to look at one of the original survey stones placed to mark out the original planned square outline of DC (before the Virginia section was ceded back to the state (leaving the square outline jutting into Maryland).
