What to do...where to go...when it is raining everywhere? Boulder River...

The road to the trailhead is drivable for even low clearance cars. We arrived to find there was another car there. So, more crazy hikers out on the trail.

Some new trees down across the trail, all small and all easy enough to get around (or over or under). There is one big rock that looks like it slid from higher up onto the trail but it too was easy to get around.

Lots and lots of water on the trail. If there wasn't standing water, then waters was flowing right over the trail. A few pretty mucky spots but nothing horrible.

We stopped at what I call the viewpoint and had lunch. I've hiked to the end of the trail and there would likely be one really muddy creek crossing. The campsite at the end of the trail would likely be partly under water. No problem...the viewpoint was a good turnaround spot.

Boulder River is best done when it is raining. The waterfalls were cranked up high and the river itself was dark with sediment.
