Stats: 4.75mi, 2110' gain (round trip to Durr Rd)

Yet again I was a bit early out of the gate for the flower show in the canyon country of central Washington State. Some flowers were out. A few hikers were out. No tick found (perfect).

This hike is within earshot of the Yakima Firing Range so the thumps you hear in the distance when climbing out of the canyon are not thunder. Just artillery.

My trip today had a few flowers, lots of blue sky. Mucky trail in spots (must have been a recent rain). Lots of color!

I climbed my way steadily out of the canyon and up to Durr Road at the top of the ridge. The sound of the meadowlark singing out of the sagebrush is divine.
