Whiskey Dick is a great place to visit in the Spring when you are tired of the snow, aching to hike with dirt under your boots, and yearning to see some color other than white.

There are lots of places to ramble around here. Usually, we just find a road, drive it, see where it takes us, and at some point get out, wander around, and make sure to spend lots of time photographing all the beautiful flowers and cacti.

We spent a long and full day enjoying the clear skies, the beautiful scenery, and on the way back west we took the scenic route from Ellensburg back to Cle Elum...Old Hwy 10. It's a beautiful old scenic highway and when I have the time, I'm always sure to take this new favorite detour. Thanks Jim for sharing this little gem.
