I "discovered" or more accurately, was introduced to Tronsen Ridge a few years ago. Now, it's on my list of my favorite Spring hikes because of the sheer number and variety of wildflowers that covers the slopes in the Spring. It's quite amazing...one type habitat on one side of the ridge (lupine, old man's whiskers, etc) and a different one on the other side (bitterroot, Tweedii, etc). I really like this hike!

The other really nice thing about this hike is that it's a ridge walk. I love the sight of a trail in the distance traversing a hillside near the crest of a ridge and disappearing around a bend or dip in the ridge far in the distance...
