A nice overnight trip. It wasn't larch season which is my favorite time in this area but that's OK.

We hiked up to Headlight Basin and made camp. Then, it was a short hike from there to Ingalls Lake. Great day for taking photos. Karen and I wandered higher up on the rocks to the west of the lake seeking some perspective.

We got back to camp to discover a mama mountain goat and her kid had decided to occupy the site. They were really darned close. At times, a bit too close for comfort. These animals were completely habituated to humans being around. I'm sure they were likely looking for salt and scraps.
