I've been in this area a couple of time before. It's a long approach in...along Wolf Creek and the valley of the screaming trees. Those dead tree snapgs in that valley get to howling if the wind is blowing. The previous time I'd been here is was much earlier in the season, strong winds that nearly picked me up off my feel had me bail on the way out to Gardner. Not this time, perfect weather.

We hiked into Gardner Meadows and set up camp. Then, bascially heading north from the meadows, we just made our way uphill to the summit. A few patches of snow on the south facing slope but nothing of too much trouble.
