Beth and I planned a trip up Cashmere Mtn. The weather started out sunny, warm and great. We hiked up to Little Eightmile Lake and then the trail that heads uphill to Caroline Lk. We continued on to Little Caroline Lk and made camp, late afternoon, in some trees.

The weather completely changed overnight. It wasn't expected but we woke up to a fresh dusting of snow and while not coming down hard, it was coming down pretty steadily.

We'd made a decision to leave ice axes in the car the previous day. Now we talked about what we should do. We weren't going to have any views even if we continued up to Windy Pass. Higher up on Cashmere was an unknown with the fresh snow.

We decided to not go for Cashmere an instead we took our time around camp in the morning before hiking back out.
