Area: Mount Rainier NP

Our route was the unmaintained Boundary Trail, just inside MRNP's Nisqually entrance. The trail heads north along the park boundary to about 4200' where it crosses the ridge that leads to Mt Wow.

We left the trail here, headed east and stayed on the top of the ridge, crossing several rocky (and slightly exposed knobs) along the way.

At about 5200' we left the ridge near the false summit, and headed north up a steep open slope. Then the ridge levels out again before more steep rock. We dropped slightly and traversed around a big bowl. Then, back up another steep open slope which finishes with a scramble up the south ridge to the summit.

Cloudy day and almost not views from the summit. Gobblers Know LO is the next named point to the north on the same ridge but even though it was close, we couldn't see it.
