Steve wanted to get a long ride in and when he suggested the long loop around Lake Washington I was in. It was actually something I would have suggested. I first did this trip with him a few years ago and it was a fun challenge. The only thing I was worried about was holiday traffic but that didn't seem to be an issue.

We left Green Lake, picked up the Burke Gillman trail near the university and then road north to Kenmore. We continued into Kirkland, down to Bellevue and then Renton before we finally turned back north on the return back to Green Lake.

The bad thing...I'm just not a super fast rider like Steve. The good news...I didn't stop on any of the hills!

We had a nice lunch in Kirkland which helped break up the long ride.
