Steve and I were wondering what ride to do today. I think I would have liked to ride all the way around Lake Washington but it didn't seem we'd have time with the late start. So Steve suggested a slighlty abbreviated version of the lake ride. We headed north from Green Lake along the Burke Gilman Trail. Then, in Kirklan, we bailed from it onto the surface roads. From Kirkland we rode down into Bellevue and then picked up the I-90 trail. This took us west to Mercer Island and then Seattle. The cool realizaton today was finding out that there is an I-90 bike tunnel! Once back in Seattle we were back on surface streets to get us back to Green Lake. This turned out to be a fantastic ride!
