The original plans for the weekend changed due to snow. We were supposed to make another trip up to Green Mtn LO to help with the painting but...too cold to paint with all the recent snow at elevation. Yesterday we went to Whidbey Island to poke around. Today...a ride.

We didn't decide to do this CBC ride until after online registration closed. So...early in the morning we drove down to Edmonds and made a short detour to the Masonic Temple to pick up our rider packets. Then we headed down to the ferry area to wait for the next boat. There was a bit of lingering fog but it was looking like it would be a nice day for a ride. A bit on the cool side but that's perfect in my book.

We rode the ferry over to Kingston and then rode the bikes off the boat and started the ride. This trip was spectacular. Generally a great ride. No hill too long or too steep. Most of the roads had good shoulders.

There wasn't much fall color showing up. With such a warm and dry summer we wonder if the trees will just have leaves that dry up and fall off instead of turning color.

We made a few stops along the way and we ended up back in Kingston mid afternoon.

This ride is definitely worth repeating!
